Congratulations on your new single! ‘Eternity’ is a dreamy track with euphoric melodies and expansive synth layers. Can you walk us through the creative process behind it and what inspired its sound?
Eternity’ came from a desire to capture a sense of freedom and calm. I started with the melody and after that I built the atmospheric pads and the breakdown. As the track evolved, it became this mix of uplifting energy and dreamy textures. It’s one of those ideas that felt very natural from the start.
How does ‘Eternity’ differ from your previous Purified release, ‘Skyfall’, in terms of mood, production, or storytelling?
‘Skyfall’ was more intense and cinematic, with a strong forward drive. ‘Eternity’ leans into a softer, more ethereal mood. I wanted more space in the production, more breath and atmosphere. It tells a quieter story and focuses on emotion rather than impact.
Your productions are known for blending introspection with transcendence. How do you translate emotions into sound, and has that approach evolved over your career?
I usually start with a certain emotion before I touch any synth. Once I know the feeling I want to express, I build everything around that melodies, textures, and rhythm. Over the years I’ve become more confident in simplifying things, letting fewer sounds carry more weight.
Which artists or experiences have had the biggest influence on your sound and career path?
My biggest influences come from artists like Ben Böhmer or Lane 8 but also from personal experiences. Traveling, nature, and even challenging moments in life often shape the mood of my tracks.
You started behind local DJ booths in Koblenz, Germany. How did those early experiences shape your current approach to producing electronic music?
Playing in small local clubs in Koblenz taught me how important storytelling in a set is. Those nights showed me how people react to subtle changes in energy, and that shaped the way I approach arrangements in my productions.
Looking back over your career, what has been the most pivotal moment in establishing your distinctive melodic and atmospheric sound?
I have always been someone who enjoys listening to music that evokes images or simply sounds beautiful and soft. There is no specific moment; I believe I have always felt a certain attraction and love for music.
You’ve been associated with Purified Records for some time. How does the label support your creative vision, and what excites you most about continuing to release with them?
Purified really supports artists in developing their identity. They give me creative freedom and understand the emotional, melodic direction I’m going for. Being part of their community is inspiring and pushes me to improve with each release.
Are there any live performances or collaborations that stand out as particularly memorable in your journey so far?
There were a few shows where everything clicked the crowd, the atmosphere, the timing, especially this year in Prague when I played the Warmup for Nils Hoffmann and Ben Böhmer. Those moments stay with me because they remind me why I love performing. The best collaboration partner from the past is Golowko. We both understand melodies, and it matches wonderfully.
What’s one thing about the music industry that you would change or improve?
I’d love to see less focus on algorithms and online numbers. There are so many talented artists who deserve attention, and the system often doesn’t reflect that. More space for genuine discovery would benefit everyone.
Looking ahead, what goals or directions are you most excited to explore in your music over the next few years?
I want to develop a deeper, more emotional signature in my sound and work more with vocalists. I want people to remember my tracks 🙂
