Thanks for joining us today! Firstly, congratulation on your new single ‘See Line Woman’ with John Junior. How did the two of you connect, and what was the creative process like in the studio?
Thank you! I’m thrilled to talk about “See Line Woman” and the collaboration with John Junior. John and I first connected around 10 years ago, and we’ve kept in touch ever since, often sharing our thoughts on music production and creative ideas.

The creative process in the studio was both exciting and seamless. John has a remarkable ability to blend different musical elements, which naturally complemented my style. This made our collaboration very fluid and synergistic. We could freely exchange ideas and inspire each other in real-time. It was rewarding to see how our individual talents came together to craft a unique and cohesive version of the song that we’re both incredibly proud of.

‘See Line Woman’ is a song with deep historical and musical significance. What inspired you to reimagine this classic, and how did you approach updating it for today’s electronic music scene?
Reimagining “See Line Woman” was an exciting endeavor for both John Junior and me. The song carries a rich historical and cultural legacy, and we were drawn to its timeless storytelling and powerful rhythm. Inspired by its roots, we wanted to honor the original while bringing a fresh, modern twist that resonates with today’s electronic music scene.

Your version of the track maintains the haunting essence of the original while infusing it with Afro House rhythms. What elements were most important for you to preserve, and what new touches did you add?
When it came to infusing Afro House rhythms, the percussive drums were essential. They bring energy and vitality to the track, creating a rhythmic pulse that connects with listeners on a visceral level. We spent considerable time crafting these drum patterns to complement the song’s original cadence while elevating it to fit the Afro House style.

Additionally, we added an acid lead which injects a modern electronic flair, providing a distinct edge that complements the percussion.

Your productions have been supported by major industry names like Black Coffee and Blond:ish. How does it feel to have your music resonate with such influential artists?
It’s incredibly validating to have my music resonate with influential artists. When musicians who have made a significant impact themselves appreciate my work, it confirms that I’m heading in the right direction. It serves as both encouragement and inspiration, motivating me to continue pursuing my passion and to keep exploring and evolving my sound.

You’ve built a reputation for seamlessly blending Afro House, Afro Tech, and Latin-inspired grooves. How did your musical journey begin, and what led you to electronic music?
My musical journey has been a diverse and evolving experience. It all began 17 years ago with underground music, which laid the foundation for my appreciation of different soundscapes and rhythms. As I explored more, I transitioned into open-format music, allowing me to experiment with various genres and styles. This exploration eventually led me to house music about 12 years ago, which immediately captured my interest. Over the years, I’ve gravitated towards blending Afro House, Afro Tech, and Latin-inspired grooves, as these styles not only reflect my diverse musical influences but also offer a unique way to connect with audiences globally. House music, with its vibrant energy and limitless possibilities, has become my creative sanctuary, and I continue to evolve and express myself through its rich canvas.

Your career has taken you to some of the world’s most iconic nightlife destinations, from Ibiza to Dubai. How have these global experiences influenced your sound and approach to DJing?
Performing in iconic nightlife destinations like Ibiza and Dubai has deeply influenced my sound and DJing approach. In Ibiza, I embraced experimentation and genre-blending, inspired by its energetic and open-minded crowds. Dubai’s diverse audience taught me to create unique experiences by incorporating both Western and Middle Eastern sounds. These global experiences have expanded my musical repertoire, enhanced my ability to connect with diverse audiences, and helped me craft a signature style that is globally inspired yet uniquely my own.

You’ve worked with respected labels like Armada Music and All Day I Dream. Are there any upcoming releases or projects you’re particularly excited about?
I have exciting new releases coming out on Ten Ibiza Records, Deep Root Tribe, MoBlack and I’m working diligently on my album, which I aim to complete by the end of the year.

As an artist who curates experiences, not just music, what’s next for you? Any major performances or collaborations on the horizon?
I plan to spend my summer in Ibiza, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be performing at some of the island’s most iconic venues.
In addition to my performances in Ibiza, I’m also excited to share that I’m working on some exciting collaborations with a few prominent names in the industry. These partnerships will combine our unique styles to create unforgettable experiences, and I can’t wait to reveal more details soon. Stay tuned for further announcements!
