Hello Anna, welcome to Techno Mood!
Thx for having me!

How are you?
Very good according to the circumstances. I use the forced break for me, my animals and my farm. I hope you are fine, too?

Can you tell us how you got into electronic music?
When I was 15 years old, I secretly sneaked out at night to drive into the city with my older friends to visit the disco. I quickly became a regular guest so a friendship with the resident DJ started. One night I stood behind these DJ, when he whirled around, stuffed his headphones into my hands and said: “You take over, I need to go the toilet!” With that, he vanished into the crowd and there I stood, 15-years young, never having mixed two records in my life, just an all-night-long-dancer, bearing the burden of keeping the party alive. Then, before I could step up to the challenge, the DJ returned, laughing, having played a trick on me. But I asked him to teach me and it turned out that I was a natural talent. Since then, every week I played the warm up. Sometimes for big names at that time like Kai Tracid. Since these days I feel home between ravers. It’s not just a music it’s a culture for me, a way of living.

How would you best describe your sound?
I like to play claps and high hats. It must always be a good, warm groove regardless of the bpm. It’s danceable with a lot of good mood.

Who or what were your biggest musical inspirations growing up?
I can’t name one person or one thing. After all the years, countless encounters, good or less good advices, tons of gigs, I know that my real inspiration are my listeners and my own stomach feeling. In my opinion it’s not working when you are not authentic. Experience and inspiration goes hand in hand.

Can you share some memories from the days you started raving/DJing?
Trance was very popular when I started. There were foam parties and the raving trousers and buffalos stank of the foam the whole week after. I was in the club on Friday and Saturday. It wasn’t like going to the club, it was like going to friends because you knew almost the whole disco. Later it became more clubbish, dark and excessive. Phew that was a long time ago …

Congrats on the release of your ‘Come With Me’ EP on Tronic! Can you talk to us a bit about the record?
Thank u. I wanted to da a EP which reflects my kind of djing. I don’t play monotonously I like to build a dynamic or depending on the party, the time, the weather. The EP is just like that, three different tracks. „Come with me“ works almost everywhere, especially daytime. „Knockin“ is a pure rave track with heavy chords and „bleed“ is for the long and dark club set. I think it’s my best EP so far and I hope people like it.

Why and how did you choose Tronic for this release? Have you released on Christian’s label before?
Yes. I broke up with my first label a few years ago because I changed my sound and I wanted to be free and fresh. I met Dave Robertson and we had a great studio week. When we finished we talked about which label could fit for my actually sound and we both selected Tronic first. Fate must have wanted it that way because right after our studio week I played on a gig after Christian Smith for the first time ever! I asked him for listening to my new tracks personally. Two days later I sent them and 30 minutes later Christian said that he will release all of them. The Atmosphere EP was born. Since that time we have a relaxed but loyal collaboration. At first I send all my new stuff to him. In 2020 I should also play on many Tronic parties, but that will have to wait.

What do you like to do in your spare time when you’re not touring the world or making music?
I live on a farm so every day when I am not „an artist“ I am outside, working on the farm, feeding all the animals, enjoying the nature.

What’s your favourite part of being an artist?
That you experience so much new things, travel to many places, countries, meet many people, dancing almost every weekend…. Phew the plus side is soooo long.

And your least favourite?
First of all that you can do what makes you happy.

Do you have any other releases planned in the coming months? Can you give us a sneak peek?
After the release on 100% Pure last month the release on Tronic is the next. After that there was actually a break planed because then the festival season should start. Sadly it will not. Another studio week was planned in September to implement all the inspiration from the summer. At least I hope that will work.

Any final words for our Techno Mood readers?
Stay healthy, positive and never stop ravin <3
