The world of festivals appears to be back in full swing and for 2022 we have analysed some of the very best ones with techno on the menu. Here we highlight some of the greatest festivals taking place this year throughout the world.

Location: Messe Luzern, Switzerland
Verve is a brand new and historic techno festival coming to Lucerne’s Allmend/Messe 1 arena in Switzerland. From May 20th – 22nd it promises something new and supersized for the city, with cutting edge artists in an innovative indoor space.

Set to take place on July 29-31 in Hilvarenbeek, Awakenings Summer Festival is sure to pack quite a punch with its massive lineup of techno greats. Immediate standouts on the bill include the likes of Stephan Bodzin, Enrico Sangiuliano, Chris Liebing, I Hate Models, Richie Hawtin, Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer, and Ben Klock, making it clear that each day is sure to be filled with stunning sets.

Terminal V: Resurgence
Date: 16th & 17th April, 2022
Location: Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh
After an unavoidable two+ year hiatus due to the pandemic, Terminal V Festival returns with a much anticipated two day Easter weekend event on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April 2022 at the Royal Highland Centre.
The huge indoor event boasts more stages than ever before, with six arenas featuring over 80 of the biggest and most in-demand international acts from all corners of electronic music.

Mint Festival will be returning to Newsam Green Farm in Leeds this September to celebrate their 10th edition of the festival. You can expect the usual suspects on the lineup with an all-out energy in the crowd for this one.
The One In The Woods
Date: 3rd-4th June 2022
Location: Liverpool, UK
2021 was the debut for Liverpool’s community-minded The One In The Woods, but it set a dizzyingly high standard with next level production, sound and a warm, friendly and up for it crowd. It is the work of The One Promotions, an experienced and accomplished group of friends who promoted many events across Liverpool and Manchester. Now they bring together the two cities at this titanic event with four stages covering all aspects of techno and more.

We Are FSTVL
Date: 6th-7th August 2022

We Are FSTVL returns to its spiritual home at Damyns Hall Aerodrome, affectionately known as The Airfield of Dreams. The UK’s biggest independent dance festival aims to make 2022’s edition the best yet and includes a stellar section of techno artists.

Location: Zrce Beach, Croatia
The clock is ticking for the much anticipated return of Croatia’s revered underground Sonus Festival. An all-star electronic music show that includes more than 40 international headliners, set to take place across three celebrated open air clubs on Zrce Beach.

MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm once again raised the bar for musical experiences in the Middle East with its latest festival. In all, 732,000 attendees from all over the world descended upon the desert with 184 artists from more than 20 countries playing over eight stages.
The likes of Baloo, Birdperson and Cosmicat playing performed alongside techno stars such as Jeff Mills, Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and many more. There was over 50 hour music in all with two new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™️ set for the Tallest Temporary Stage at 41m and 268cm, and The Most LED Lights in a Display with 60,053,376 in total. 2022’s edition looks set to be even more incredible, with another brilliantly curated set of techno artists coming to the region.
