Deen Vinokur(aka VINO) is a DJ and music producer since 2015 During Deen’s career he worked alongside huge producers and played on the biggest stages in Israel alongside a variety of artists.
Deen’s last partnership was with the producer Itay Kalderon and they both joined a band called JETFIRE. The achievements of the two were impressive and during the last year they reached 10 million plays on Spotify for their two most prominent songs – “In The Shadows” and “Montero”.
After a little over a year of cooperation, the two decided to part ways for personal reasons. Today Deen produces electronic music under a new stage name – VINO And he has already worked alongside the biggest artists in the industry: Adam Ten, Ella Gutman, MADE IN TLV. Magit Cacoon and more..
Hello VINO, great to have you with us today. How are things with you and where are you based right now?
Hello guys, thanks for having me! Things are going great right now! I’m currently in my studio at Nahariya Israel, working on a lot of new music.
Very recently, you made your debut on Somatique Music Records. Congrats on this. How does it feel to see your music on the label?
The reactions to The Mind were amazing from the first moment I played it, The Mind is my first original single that I am releasing in this style under my new project – vino.
In the past I released a few singles under this project name but today I am fixated on style and feel that I am bringing and expressing myself like never before.
We’re pleased to be chatting with you ahead of your next release on Spinnin’ Records, what can you tell us about this release?
The release on Spinnin’ is one of my best track I ever made, and it is called ‘Winds Of East’ everything recorded live and the vibe is super unique and original, can’t wait to share it with you..it will be released on September 09.
Can you tell us what inspired you to create ‘Winds Of East’?
From the moment I heard the guitar playing I knew exactly what my vision was for this song, when I made this track I wanted everyone who heard it to go on a journey to the desert and imagine themselves riding a camel in the middle of the night and feeling the winds of the east.
Have you had a chance to play this one out yet?
Yes! And the reactions were always amazing, this track takes everyone who hears it on a special journey, trust me 🙂
We’d love to hear more about your music, is there anything in the preparation at the moment?
There is a lot of music in the works and also some very interesting collaborations on the way with very talented producers such as MAORI, MADE IN TLV, JENISH and many more.. For now I can only say that right after the release on Spinnin’ ,a very interesting EP coming out on a great label.
You have made quite an impact already with releases on the likes of Revealed Recordings, SPININ REC. DHARMA. What piece of advice would you offer to aspiring artists looking to pursue music?
Thanks, perseverance and determination have always taken me as far as possible, I believe that if I can dream it, I can do it. Don’t take your foot off the gas and always keep doing your best and what you believe in, because there are no rules for success and there are no rules for music.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years from now I see myself continuing to do my best, and always improving and fulfilling more of my dreams.
