Following slew of impressive career releases on the likes of Octopus Recordings and Set About over the past few years, iconic American-Korean techno producer Juheun now announces his long awaited debut on Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou Records, with the unveiling of his remarkable new extended player, Instant Communication.

Landing on the esteemed German imprint for his first full-length EP of 2022, the exquisite three-part package represents an incredible showcase in dark, driving techno from the in-form producer and comes complete with two diverse remixes from I AM BAM and Melody’s Enemy.

Inaugurating the EP with the brooding title track Instant Communication, Juheun makes his intentions known from the off with a heady peak-time cut, brimming with intricate percussion, thunderous basslines and expertly-manipulated samples throughout its mesmerising, six-and-a-half minute duration. A truly unique production and arguably the most upfront rendition on the entire package, Juheun’s notable diversity as a producer continues to shine through for all to hear on this latest release.

Speaking about the record, Juheun commented:
“I can’t think of a better way to start the first part of 2022 off than delivering this massive cut to the dance floor. Packing this release with my guys Melody’s Enemy and IAMBAM remixes ensures this EP will be a necessary evil in so many DJs’ arsenals.”

First up on remix duties is man-of-the-moment, I AM BAM. Debuting on Kuukou armed with an huge catalogue of releases on the likes of Octopus, Odd Recordings, Dolma, TCP, Kneaded Pains, Planet Rhythm and Quartz (to name a few), the Italian-born, Berlin-based producer brings his wealth of studio experience to the package with an intense journey through consciousness, combining frenetic rhythms, oscillating synths and pounding kicks to masterful effect.

Last, but by no means least, Juheun hands the reigns to British production powerhouse Melody’s Enemy. Carving a somewhat unorthodox path to modern techno, Melody’s Enemy honed his craft within the drum and bass scene, releasing and performing for many of its best labels such as Playaz, Ram and Metalheadz. Now, he lands on Kuukou with his assertive four-to-the-floor sound experiment, merging acid basslines with slick beats and signature techniques to close out another remarkable EP on the Berlin-based imprint.
