Moksha Recordings are super excited to release Kosheen’s ‘Hide U [2024 Reload]’, a triplet of re-interpretations of the noughties club anthem starting on July 23rd 2024, via AWAL distribution. ‘Hide U’ from the album “Resist”, was originally released in 2000 and kicked off as one of the most memorable highlights of Fabio’s deep groove sets at Swerve, developed into a D&B club anthem, then became an international club hit & award winning banger.

Sian Evans’ gentle vocal on “Hide U’ flows down your spine, grinds your hips and lodges in your mind, all over unique rolling beats and strangely effective stuttering groove.

A deep breath of musical fresh air, a classic melody, it’s a return to their D&B roots, now reloaded for 2024 with beats by Mozey (23rd July), René LaVice (1st Aug) and The Outrage & Markee Ledge (10th Aug).

The Mozey mix, starts off paying homage to the original. Introducing a break, then rolls into a staccato, rhythmic, metallic, dissonant earworm in the chorus. Sian’s voice glides over verse, punctuated by an appregiated interlude, the remix then crashes into raucous sound and Sian’s glorious ‘Hide U’ vocal.

René LaVice has mixed Sian’s haunting chant of a sweetly jilted and longing lover and hypnotically twisted it into a menacing drop which unleashes the deep conflicting emotions of the lyrics into a cathartic explosion of filthy bass line energy. In-keeping with the theme, the middle breakdown delves further into a widening array of emotions lurking under the surface of the lyrics, and builds into a crescendo of bipolar euphoria as Sian’s lyric “Danger” is looped over and over into yet another satisfying storm of bass.

The Outrage & Markee Ledge mix, maintains the original beats for the intro before a haunting glockenspiel refrain appears in the background under the main vocal, before a rolling break rhythm and some wide-range bass crashes the verse taking over the rhythm duties under Sian’s beautiful melodic vocals.
