Møønz is a Belgian artist from Antwerp whose tantalising style combines industrial drums and powerful melodies to deliver full-throttle grooves with uplifting energy.
This is Møønz debut on MJA the Vision following music on other imprints such as Existence Limited, FURIOUS MOTHER, and HAUTBOXx Records.
The title track, “Matrix” opens with a pounding kick and thrashing hi-hats, while a whirling arpeggio creates gripping tension. It’s a hypnotic track with a furious energy that will set the dance floor alight.
Next up, “Phase” has a pumping bassline and flickering hi-hats forming a framework for metallic stabs. Flickering acid and ominous pads add intensity, but the mood changes after the main breakdown, when uplifting chords add a brief moment of euphoria.
