Motion is one of the most musically diverse clubs in the UK. It offers multi-dimensional spaces with cutting edge line-ups from the best collectives and brands in the scene and that has been the case in 2022 as things have somewhat returned to normal. Energy levels have been high at the club for the first quarter and that will only count with a tasteful mix of events this spring. As always, they mix up international pioneers with fast rising local stars so offer an unrivalled place to hear the very best electronic music each and every week.

Motion always prides itself on offering a diverse and safe dance floor. New measures remain in place to guard against recent reports of increased spiking incidents across the UK and include lids on drinks, increased security presence and non-uniformed operatives patrolling the club to ensure customer safety.

Of the many standout events to come, the first is the throwback disco celebration that is Glitterbox on Friday 22nd April with mainstay Shapeshifters, Mello Baptiste, Sophie Lloyd, Simon Dunmore and Kiddy Smile.

The early May Bank Holiday weekend kicks off on Saturday 30th April when Yard is back with a vast party across three spaces and two days. The Container Yard welcomes tasteful house, techno and electro selectors Denis Sulta, Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini, Ellie Stokes and Leo Pol for a live show, while the Crane Yard will bounce to Krystal Klear, Eclair Fifi, Hammer and Ellis Roberts. The Lock Yard meanwhile finds Dusky going deep all night long. The day after on 1st May, Alan Fitzpatrick brings the techno with BEC, Dense & Pika, Boxia and more, KiNK serves up his spectacular live show with Mason Collective, AJ Christou and more in the Crane Yard and Life And Death boss DJ Tennis will hypnotise all night long in the Lock Yard.

On Saturday May 21st, Eso Presents a brilliantly forward thinking line up across two spaces with Objekt, Re:ni, Kessler, a special guest from Swamp 81, Loefah, Lamont, Patrice and more all lined up. Friday June 10th is an acid special at XXL with Filth on Acid boss Reinier Zonneveld, Parfait and Charlie Sparks then cult drum & bass label Critical Sound host a day party on Saturday 11th June with Calibre, a dub plate back to back between Serum and Bladerunner, plus LTJ Bukem, Kasra, Enei, Halogenix and much more.

Elsewhere, the famously colourful Cirque Du Soul rolls into town on Friday June 3rd, and the summer solstice will be celebrated in style on Saturday June 18th with an afternoon into evening party with a very special guest.
