AURIGA

After two huge debut releases on Now Now Records (Lee Ann Roberts’ Label) and famous Berlin label Deestricted over the past two months – Spanish techno sensation Auriga ends the year unveiling her latest EP, this time on her brand new techno label “Psycho Recordings”, that will be focused on fast and Psy Techno.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, December 29 Auriga’s “They Blame the Computers” EP marks the Spaniard’s inaugural foray on Psycho Recordings, as she delivers an immense two-part package of Psy Techno gems worthy of any label debut.

Kick-starting the double-sided cut with the uncompromising title track “French Dance”, Auriga goes full throttle from the off, amalgamating a hefty blend of driving kicks, psytrance bass, french vocals, glitchy synths to open her tally on Psycho Recordings in remarkable style. A hard-hitting production and arguably the most intricate rendition on the EP, Auriga’s impressive diversity as a producer continues to shine through, as she adds to her flourishing career discography with another huge dancefloor weapon.

On the flip, Auriga offers up her second and final original production on the player with “They Blame the Computers”. A skittish six-minute juggernaut, with exquisitely layered Björk Vocal extracted from a legendary interview “They say electronic music has not got soul, and they blame the computers….” the pounding finale sees Auriga build a relentless assortment of undulating basslines, piercing siren stabs, trippy vox drops and frenetic snares, to close out the EP in emphatic fashion.

Auriga (SP) – The Blame the Computers EP will be released on Friday, December 29, via Psycho Recordings. Pre-order here
