Chicago’s Azzecca returns in triumph to Another Rhythm with original track ‘Forget’ (Feb 16th) as she revisits the imprint since her TIBASKO remix a year ago. In a whirlwind year, she soared from the launchpad of her now 8.5+million streamed ‘Other Side’, dropped several stand out releases and ended the year, aptly, on Higher Ground with ‘Tell That Boy’; her monster hit from the underground to mainstream, championed by Danny Howard, Arielle Free, Jack Saunders… plus her Kompakt debut, a remix of Rex The Dog. With support from Mixmag, Wonderland, Beatport, DJ Mag NA, Pete Tong etc her signature blend of house, techno and dark dance flies ever higher.

‘Forget’: Azzecca never takes prisoners, and ‘Forget’ is merciless, setting a spanking pace with multi-layered goodness like rattling drums, a house beat with a breaksy hop in it, twanging teeth-tingling bass stomping all over it, all counterpointed by a female vocal intoning like a mantra, ‘Close your eyes, take my hand, disappear, the world is falling down…’ But you won’t worry about that or anything else when you’re on the dancefloor losing your mind.

‘I started this track in 2021, and was the first time I used my own vocal on a project. After sitting on the shelf for years, unfinished and lacking vision, I revisited it recently with a new bassline in mind and it finally came together.’Azzecca

Ending her whitehot year headlining at Kings Hall Brooklyn, It’ll Do Dallas, Bauhaus Houston, TV Lounge Detroit, and playing Proper NYD (San Diego), Azzecca’s blasting off this one with shows at Concourse Project (Austin, with Franky Wah), Public Works SF, EDC Las Vegas, and 2024’s first of her famed Dirty Disco events on March 15th in her hometown.
