Riding a wave of international acclaim following the release of his three-part “Rhythms For Sale” EP on Watergate at the beginning of October, Swedish producer Fahlberg continues his prolific run of form as he announces his brand new single “Messing Around” on Stockholm-based record label Sven Records. Teaming up with DJ, producer and fellow countryman, Layer J, “Messing Around” marks the inaugural collaboration between the two Scandinavian producers and also the debut release on Sven Records – the brand new label project from internationally renowned Swedish multi-talent agency Studio Sven.

Due for release on October 25, Fahlberg and Layer J’s inaugural collaboration delivers everything we’ve come to expect and more from the in-form producers, as they combine to deliver a spellbinding slice of vocal house that shimmers and pulsates with dark midnight disco energy across its eight-minute duration. An exquisite amalgamation of punchy drums, retro synths and an expertly manipulated male top-line, the unique vocal treatment forms the backbone of the cut as Fahlberg and Layer J continue their unending exploration of cosmic sonic landscapes to open the label’s tally in style.
Regularly lauded by artists such as Solomun, Keinemusik and Adriatique amongst others, Fahlberg’s productions are characterized by an intricate blend of deep basslines, refined grooves and hypnotizing sounds.
