After what was a momentous return to the dancefloor in 2021, Glasgow’s Riverside Festival have confirmed the first wave of artists for 2022’s three-day Jubilee weekender. Organisers are delighted to reveal Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox and Róisín Murphy will be headlining RF22 alongside an eclectic array of artists, from international heavyweights to the cutting edge.
Kicking off next year’s festival on Thursday 2nd June is a line-up stoked with techno heavy-hitters. Blistering high-tempo DJ SPFDJ; one of the scene’s most explosive live acts, 999999999; and Glasgow’s own techno titans Slam, will be joined by international phenomenon Charlotte De Witte for what will be a momentous start to proceedings.
Headlining on Friday 3rd of June is global dancefloor giant and true pioneer of electronic music Carl Cox, who will be joined by London’s irresistible duo Overmono (live) whose meteoric rise continues to gain momentum with a string of recent dancefloor anthems.
On Saturday 4th of June, dance-pop icon and one of the most celebrated live acts to ever emerge from the UK’s scene, Róisín Murphy, will bring the festival to a close. Few DJ’s have worked as hard, earned their stripes as honestly or are as universally loved as Amsterdam’s Job Jobse, who plays the Square Stage. On the same day Glasgow’s No.1 inclusive and alternative queer party Shoot Your Shot host the Waterfront Stage with double Scottish Alternative Music Award Winner DJ, producer and activist TAAHLIAH confirmed and many more artists still to be announced.
RF22 will be taking place across the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend in June for an unmissable three day weekender. Heralded as Scotland’s premiere celebration of electronic music, this will be the 9th edition of the festival.
“Shoot Your Shot are excited to be hosting a stage at next year’s Riverside Festival to bring a celebration of electronic music cultivated on our doorstep along with inviting guests who represent our party. Glasgow boasts one of the best music scenes in the world and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to showcase that.” – Bonzai Bonner, Founder of Shoot Your Shot
“We are very excited to launch the 2022 edition of RF, which will be a 3 day weekender event, taking place over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. We will once again have 3 stages showcasing, in our opinion, the best electronic music from both overseas and from our hometown. This year was the best one yet – next year we will be going one step beyond”. – Mark Mackechnie, Co-Festival Director
